Our Family Freak Show

Here are just a couple of examples of why we are freaks:

Alex started "dancing" this weekend. We lovingly call it the "Seizure Dance" because if it weren't for the big smile on Alex's face when he does it, we would think he was convulsing. We need to get out our camera and get a video of this marvelous display of rhythm.

If you know me at all, you know that I have some pretty strange conditions such as extra bones and a temperamental heart. Well, I got a new diagnosis that makes all the other stuff seem like a walk in the park. I've been dealing with a lot of pain in my back, neck and head since getting pregnant. My midwife recommended that I see a chiropractor. I went to the chiropractor this morning. After examining me he said that my entire right and left sides are completely different. It's almost like they are from two different bodies. He adjusted me and said that right now he's in "discovery mode" with regards to my future treatment. Next Tuesday I'll go back in to see him so that he can determine how my body reacted to the adjustment and to gravity. Once again, I feel like a science project.

The nausea seems to be a bit more manageable lately. I'm hoping that it will go away completely by the end of this trimester rather than stick around through month 5 like it did when I was pregnant with Alex. Today Alex's nose is VERY juicy and he has a cough but he doesn't seem to be overly uncomfortable. Hopefully this is just a superficial cold that won't last more than a few days. Aside from all that, we are happy, healthy and excited for the months to come!

I want to see a dancing video!! Here is a link to a video of Lizzy dancing. This is when she had learned to stand up, but couldn't walk quite yet. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8227743451361529592&hl=en
