This morning Joseph walked into the kitchen to find this. The best we can guess is that one of the cats jumped onto the counter in the middle of the night and knocked off a plate. The thing that we don't understand is how the plate managed to shatter the way it did. It's a Correll plate. I've dropped these plates before and they've never broken. And how did the pieces spread like that? We found pieces of the plate on the opposite counter, half way down the hall and in the family room. It's like the plate exploded! And lastly, how on earth did we not hear this happen? Life is full of interesting surprises, isn't it?

That's really strange! We have Corel plates too, and they don't break like that!
