Happy 4th Birthday Alex!

I think Alex enjoyed his 4th birthday. We took him to Iceberg for dinner (he ate grilled cheese), got him his free scoop of strawberry ice cream at Baskin Robbins and came home to give him his present: Cars Race O Rama for the Wii. We are now looking forward to his Thomas the Tank Engine-themed birthday party on Saturday.

Alex loves to racing other kids in the neighborhood and kicking a soccer ball. Last week I taught him how to drop-kick a ball. He thought that was one of the greatest things ever and now he loves going outside to practice drop-kicking. He's getting pretty good at it.

In addition to his budding physical talents, Alex is delightfully funny. The other day Joseph was making eggs for breakfast. Usually he makes eggs in our little egg pan but that day he was going to make it on our electric grill. He told Alex that he was going to make him an egg but he was going to make it a little different. Alex said, "How? Burnt?" Moments like that make life worth living. :)
