Boy or Girl?

Here's an interesting list of pregnancy characteristics that supposedly indicate the gender of the baby. I've commented on my changes throughout to help you all guess. I'll try to get a picture of me up soon. Be sure to vote!

WEIGHT GAIN
BOY: You are carrying the extra weight out front
GIRL: You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
ME: Like with Alex, I don't have any extra weight. Hurray!

BOY: Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
ME: I don't remember if Joey gained weight with Alex but he's slowly losing weight now.

BOY: Your belly looks like a basketball
GIRL: Your belly looks like a watermelon
ME: My belly looked like a watermelon with Alex. I expect to look the same this time. I don't think it's possible for my belly to look like anything but a watermelon.

BOY: You are carrying low
GIRL: You are carrying high
ME: With such a short upper body it's really difficult to tell.

BODY
BOY: You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
GIRL: You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
ME: I got sick earlier this time but I'm pretty sure that's typical for a second pregnancy regardless of what the gender is. I was sick until month 6 with Alex. This time I felt better right at the beginning of month 4.

BOY: Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
BOY: Your hands are very dry
ME: I don't think I suffered from either with Alex. I know I'm not suffering from either now.

BOY: The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
GIRL: Your hair develops red highlights
ME: These are rather subjective. Hair grows faster when you're pregnant regardless of the gender. I think I do have more red highlights but I've been in the sun a lot more than normal so that could do it too.

BOY: Your nose is spreading
ME: Good heavens! I hope not!

BOY: You are having headaches
GIRL: You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
ME: Give me a break! I'm going to be moodier than usual no matter what I'm having! I'm pregnant! It's my prerogative to be moody! As far as headaches go, I had migraines all through the pregnancy with Alex. I had moderate headaches this time but they went away after I got chiropractic adjustments.

BOY: Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
GIRL: You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
ME: I looked like crap when I was pregnant with Alex. I look pretty good this time!

GIRL: Your face breaks out more than usual
ME: I broke out horribly with Alex. This time my skin has actually been more clear than when I'm not pregnant. Hurray!

CRAVINGS
BOY: You are craving salty or sour foods
BOY: You are craving protein: meats and cheese
GIRL: You are craving sweets, fruit, and orange juice
GIRL: You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
ME: With both Alex and this pregnancy I've wanted fruit. Aside from fruit, the things I couldn't eat and the things I craved with Alex were completely different than this time. With Alex I couldn't eat pork and I craved shrimp non-stop. This time I can eat pork but I can't eat Chinese food. So far I haven't had any consistent cravings. I've been frequently craving cheese enchiladas from Joe Vera's but that could be because I very rarely get to have them. Joe Vera's is too far away and too expensive to have more than once every few months. I don't remember if I drank orange juice with Alex. I don't really like orange juice but I've been ok with it and occationaly crave it this time. I refused to eat the heel of bread before I was pregnant so it's not much of a surprise that I can't stand it during both pregnancies.

OTHER
BOY: Your pillow faces north when you sleep
GIRL: Your pillow faces south when you sleep
ME: It would take far too much brain power to figure that out right now. :)

BOY: Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
GIRL: Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
ME: Alex's heart rate was between 130-145 beats per minute. This baby's heart rate ranges from 160 to 170 beats per minute.

BOY: You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number
GIRL: You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number
ME: I conceived Alex in January and I was 25 so that is indeed an even number. I conceived this baby in April and I was 27: an odd number! 9 days until we find out!
