Ethan's Breakthrough
We've been trying for a few weeks now to get Ethan to take a bottle. We got those cool "natural nurser" bottles from Adiri hoping they would help him take to the bottle. Nope. You'd think we were trying to poison him the way he shunned the bottle. I figured we just needed to keep trying and eventually he'd get the hang of it. Tonight Joseph attempted it again. I came in to the room after several minutes of screaming. I was ready to give up for the night. Joseph frustratedly explained that Ethan clearly wanted to eat on his side the way I feed him when nursing but it simply wasn't possible to achieve that angle with the bottle. I said if that's what Ethan wants, just put him on his side but facing out instead of in. Joseph did and Ethan immediately started eating! I'm still shocked that it actually worked. :) After losing this battle so many times it's great to finally win!

Wow, good job! I gave up on the bottle with Lizzy. It never did work. However, when she was around 6 months old, I introduced a sippy cup - had to be one without a soft nozzle - and she did fine with that. Rachel will do a sippy cup now too, she never liked bottles either.
