Shortly after Alex was born, my mom bought him his giraffe. When Alex was about 1 year old he was able to say "tiger" so while shopping we bought a tiger made by the same company as the giraffe. He loved Mr. Tiger almost as much as Mr. Giraffe. Unfortunately, as soon as Alex mastered the word "giraffe," (around 18 months) he wanted nothing to do with Mr. Tiger. At night Alex would put the tiger as far away from him as the crib would allow while the giraffe got the honor of being held and cuddled. After a while he actually cried and fussed until we took the tiger out of his crib. When we found out we were having another boy we asked Alex if it would be ok if we gave Mr. Tiger to his baby brother. Alex generously agreed. Mr. Tiger was moved to the closet where he patiently waited for Ethan to come into the world. Ethan is very good with his hands so we decided that the time was right. We asked Alex if he would like to give Ethan the tiger. Alex agreed. As you can see in the picture, Ethan is thrilled with his new friend! I have no doubt that Ethan will treasure Mr. Tiger just as much as Alex treasures Mr. Giraffe.

That's cute! Lizzy has a special kitty that she sleeps with, and we've given Rachel a doggy. Lizzy loves her kitty - Rachel couldn't care less about the doggy!
