Out of Touch

Hi Everyone! Yeah, we're still here. We're still alive, everyone is perfectly healthy. OK, so Alex is getting over an ear infection but other than that, we're good. I just haven't had the time to update my blog or read any of yours. I have almost no time left after my Hypnobabies and math homework. I have a math test tonight. This chapter is WAY harder than the last one. By the way, I hate to brag (wink) but I got the second highest score in the class on that last test. I got 98%. I would have gotten 100% but I failed to write one negative sign in the answer. Darn it! I'm working really hard not to do that again. Anyway, Alex is amazing! He speaks in phrases now and occasionally in complete sentences. Seeing as how Alex will be 2 years old in 2 week, it will be no surprise to any of you that his favorite word is "no" (even when he means "yes"). Everything has to be on his terms. I swear sometimes he wants to say to us, "OK, I'll do what you want but it's only because I want to do it too." Despite this, I think he is beginning to accept the inevitability of things like nap time and bed time. He very rarely fights us on that now. Well, he fights a little but once we put him in his bed, he goes down without argument. It's now time for me to get back to studying. I'm sorry that I've been so out of touch with all of you. I will try harder to read your blogs once a week (after tonight's test). Have a super week!
