Happy Birthday Alex!

Alex celebrated his 2ND birthday on Saturday, October 4Th! Last Saturday Grandpa took us to the zoo to celebrate. Alex loved it! His favorite animals were the penguins, monkeys, and of course, the giraffes. Unfortunately, my camera wasn't working well in the sunlight so I didn't get any pictures of Alex there. I do have pictures of him on his actual birthday though. As you can see, he was uncharacteristically clean while eating his cake.

How fun! I'm excited for Lizzy's 2nd birthday next month. 2 is old enough that they are actually excited about what's happening!

How's the pregnancy going?

How goes the potty training? I didn't know you had to pay for the 3daypottytraining help.
I'd love your thoughts on how things have gone.

Hi Candice! My pregnancy is going great! This is so much easier than it was with Alex! Alex is now totally potty trained during the day. He still has accidents at night. We're not sure what to do about it. Potty training would have gone much more smoothly if he hadn't gotten sick. He got an ear and sinus infection a week into potty training. That was 4 weeks ago and he's still not completely better. He’s on his 3rd round of antibiotics. If his ears aren’t totally better by Monday, he’s going to have to have a 3 day round of antibiotic shots. If that doesn’t work, he’ll have to see an ears, nose and throat specialist. Anyway, back to potty training. I highly recommend the 3 day potty training system. It is very intense but it totally works if you do exactly what it says. We didn’t do exactly what it said so it took us about 5 days. At the end of 5 days Alex didn’t have accidents but by the end of the week he got sick and he regressed. It’s pretty common for kids to regress a bit when they get sick, especially with something as painful as an ear infection. It is really nice having Alex potty trained. As far as the night accidents are concerned, we won’t attempt to correct it until Alex feels 100% better. Good luck with everything!
